President’s Day 2026

President’s Day 2026 was held on sunny Sunday, 20th September. We had 22 participants and a few spectators. All of whom had a good time. This year’s winners were Dee Simcock partnered by Walter Schafer and the runners up were 2 visitors – Angela Jebb and Colin Meikle.

We held a “Spider” at lunchtime. Always a bit of fun and a good way of raising extra cash for our ” good cause” which this year was Cancer Research UK. This was won by Angela Jebb and she was presented with a bottle of wine by our Club Secretary, Christine.

After everything was totted up, we have been able to donate £250 to Cancer Research UK.

Open evening 2026

We are holding an open evening for new people interested in taking up bowling and joining the club and for club members, on Thursday 19th March from 6pm. Existing members will be able to pay their subs as well as re-connect with friends and team members.

This year’s successes

Congratulations to all of the following for their bowling success in 2025:

Whitchurch League.

The Chester Rd team for being runners up in the President’s Cup by only 5 points!

Our C team for coming second in Division 4 and hopefully earning promotion into Division 3 next season.
Ann Mitchell for being Best Lady in the Division Averages in Division 4.

Barlows League.

Our B team for being second in Division 2 and earning promotion into Division 1.

Malpas Seniors League

Our A team for being second in Division 1. i.e. second in the whole League.
Our B team for being runners up in the Cliff and Mary Cup.

Well done to everyone. Onwards and upwards next year!
