Crown Green Bowling in Whitchurch, Shropshire
The Club held it’s annual President’s Day today. A good number of Members enjoyed a Round Robin bowling competition and at the same time managed to raise £400 for charity from a raffle and the sale of food. The cash was donated to the Whitchurch First Responders.

Congratulations to the Chester Road B team who have won Division 3 in the Market Drayton League this year.
The date for your diary this year is Sunday 30th September starting at 11:00 am.
No tickets, just turn up. As usual there will be a fun round robin doubles bowls competition with a draw for partners.
Refreshments will be on sale on the day and all profits from the day will go to our local First Responders.
We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Very many congratulations to our A team in this league. They have finished at the top of Division 1 and are therefore overall winners of the League.
Congratulations go too to the B team who finished 2nd in Division 2 while in Division 3 the C team pulled themselves up to 4th.
Well done to everyone who participated and good luck for next season.
As the season draws to it’s close we would like to congratulate our C team who have been playing in Division 3 in the Barlows Senior League. After a nail biting wait for the final results to be posted, our team finished second in their division and should be promoted to Division 2 next season.
Well done everyone!
Congratulations also to Preston Brockhurst B, who topped the leader board and to Malpas Farmers who finished 3rd and gave us a run for our money.
The Shropshire County Bowling Association’s Veterans Inter-League Competition was played at the Club today with the final being held at the Archibald Worthington Club late this afternoon.
The final was won by the team from Mid-Shropshire.
